PHBI Launches Groundbreaking Fenestration (Window & Door) Installer Program to Address Industry Skills Gap
April 16, 2025–Calgary, Alberta–In a significant advancement for building industry education, the Professional Home Builders Institute (PHBI) and Fenestration Canada are excited to announce the launch of the Fenestration (Window & Door) Installer Program, a new online, nationally accessible training program focused on windows and doors in modern construction.
This program is the culmination of a five-year partnership between PHBI and Fenestration Canada, which began in 2020. The collaboration was born out of a shared vision to fill a critical gap in the industry, providing professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle the evolving challenges of energy-efficient construction and high-performance fenestration systems.
As building codes become increasingly stringent and energy efficiency a central focus of modern construction, the demand for skilled professionals in fenestration installation has surged.
