Barry started in our industry in 1953 with Lloyd Doors. Joined Premdor in 1973, Stanley Doors in 1979, LBM Marketing in 2001 and finished his career with Therma-Tru.
He was Past President of CWDMA, was awarded the “CP Loewen” and “Industry Pioneer” awards. He worked hard on the WinDoor Show Committee for more than 15 years, using his vast Industry contacts to attract show sponsorships.
“Mr. Marvelous” was liked and respected by people he worked with. Here are some of the comments from Industry Veterans:
He never seemed to have a bad day. We will miss him as he was truly one of the “Good Guys”.
He was the anchor for a whole lot of people. Murph has been a constant in my life.
A longtime customer remembered Barry saying “I did not work for him – but with him”.
He added flavour to our activities ”singing, laughing, and joking” that cannot be replaced.
