Fenestration Industry Letter to Minister Freeland Fenestration Canada sent a letter today to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on behalf of our association and four of our fenestration industry affiliates; SAWDAC, AVFQ, Fenestration Manitoba and the Fenestration Association of B.C.
In the letter, we voiced our members’ concerns regarding the retaliatory tariffs imposed by the Government of Canada on U.S. imports of aluminum fenestration products. Our key message is that the Canadian tariffs on aluminum window and door products may prove as damaging to our industry as the U.S. tariffs.
In the letter we outlined our recommendations for the Government of Canada and requested a meeting with the Minister to provide further input on this issue. You can find a copy of the letter here: Fenestration Industry Letter to Minister Freeland
