Change in the Energy Star Canada Data Submission Procedure (A_N)

Dear ENERGY STAR Canada Participant:

You are receiving this e-mail because you are a Participant in the ENERGY STAR Canada program whose models are certified by NFRC with either AAMA or WDMA as your Inspection Agency (IA).

Effective September 1, 2016, all fenestration manufacturers (or their agents) who have the NFRC Inspection Agencies of AAMA or WDMA will no longer be able to submit model data directly to NRCan for ENERGY STAR. All changes or additions to registered model data must be submitted by the IA.

This change is part of an on-going NRCan effort to align with the EPA policies and procedures for ENERGY STAR in the U.S. and is not a result of any concern with either IA. This data submission procedure change is being phased in over time and has already taken effect for the three Canadian certification bodies: CSA, Intertek and QAI. Keystone Certifications and NAMI clients will be transitioned to the new policy on April 1, 2016.
