Canada Summer Jobs 2021
A wage subsidy program that can help your business create summer jobs for youth between the ages of 15 and 30, focusing on those who face barriers to employment.
The subsidy covers up to 75% of your provincial or territorial minimum wage (up from 50%).
Applications open until January 29th

Ontario Small Business Support Grant
Applications are open for the new Ontario Small Business Support Grant, which helps small businesses that are required to close or significantly restrict services under the Provincewide Shutdown effective December 26, 2020. More information and how to apply is here.

The Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, announced a new Residential Construction Rebate Program that will allow homeowners to save money on construction and renovations, while also helping to stimulate the economy and employment in the province’s construction industry.
Homeowners can qualify for the Residential Construction Rebate in one of two ways:
Renovation Projects
A 25 per cent rebate is available for renovation projects for principal residences, up to a maximum rebate of $10,000 (based on a $40,000 project).
New Home Construction
A rebate of $10,000 is available for new home construction on homes valued up to $350,000 before HST.

The Canadian government has extended the current ban on most international travellers until July 31.
The federal government first shut the border to non-Canadian citizens, with limited exceptions, to limit the spread of COVID-19 in mid-March. This ban exempted the United States, which entered into a separate agreement with Canada shortly after, that has been renewed until July 21 at least. Source here.
