Firstly, I would like to thank Terry Adamson for leading our association forward as President in the past few years but especially through such a challenging year with many different changes. I am looking forward to having Terry as part of our strong Fenestration Canada team and I have no doubt that he will continue to do great things in his new role.
It is with great honour and pride that I represent Fenestration Canada in my new role as President. I look forward to continuing to work with a great Board of Directors to progress forward this year. I would like to thank our volunteers for making the association stronger and of course to all of our members who support us and look to our association to represent them within our industry.
Our job as an association is to make sure we are at the forefront of change and that we get back to connecting with our members. This will be made possible this year thanks to the addition of new team members which will strengthen our association and the connection we have to our members. It is important to me that I continue the legacy that those before me have paved and that we make the association stronger.
2020 was a challenging year for our industry and despite these challenges, I believe that we have made great progress with the support that we have provided to our members. This year, we will continue to provide members with the high level support you expect as we continue to offer timely educational content, events and online resources as we get back to seeing each other in person once again.
My door is always open to support our members. We are always looking for new faces to join the various committees and task groups. Participation is crucial for not only your membership value but also to Fenestration Canada as it is our member volunteers who provide invaluable input when putting together events and information that goes out to our membership. Reach out to us if you are interested in getting involved.
Thank you again for this great opportunity. I look forward to moving forward with the association in 2021.
President, Fenestration Canada
